Our new prime minister Gordon Brown has today made key cabinet appointments.

Ruth Kelly is now transport secretary, replacing Douglas Alexander.

Brown's successor is Alistair Darling; environment minister is Hilary Benn, and business and enterprise is handled by John Hutton.
