MiX Telematics has launched a new telematics system for owners and operators of small van fleets.

Known as FM Protector, the system provides a wide range of benefits, including vehicle tracking and usage-monitoring, unauthorised use/theft alerts and enhanced security and protection for lone-workers. Available through MiX Telematics’ nationwide network of distributors, FM Protector is supported by a low-cost payment plan.

“Up until now telematics systems have typically been priced beyond the reach of the small fleet operator,” said Steve Coffin, sales and marketing director for MiX Telematics.

“But with FM Protector we are now able to offer a cost-effective solution which satisfies core fleet management needs while also providing tangible enhancements in terms of the operator’s duty of care obligations.”
