Fiat has seen a 42% increase in used car wholesales following an overhaul of its remarketing strategy last year.
Fiat recorded a four-fold increase in dealers buying from its online remarketing portal, alongside a more comprehensive auction programme spread.
Sales in January and February 2009 were up 150% up.
Fiat’s used vehicle remarketing manager Simon Wheeler said: “We now find ourselves with stock levels that allow us to drive the used market to the benefit of our dealers and customers.”
Fiat said demand for smaller, cheaper used cars has gone in its favour.
