Kwik-Fit Fleet is moving into the ‘smart’ repair business with a trial at six locations in the UK.

The fast-fit giant is offering menu pricing on a range of ‘smart’ (small to medium area repair technology) repairs, with paintless dent removal starting at £45.

The technicians will also be able to offer alloy wheel refurbishment and repairs to upholstery tears and cigarette burns, as well as repairing dented, scratched or chipped paintwork, and refurbishing scuffed bumpers.

The trial is taking place at centres in Edinburgh, Birmingham, St Helens, Telford and Slough, with a mobile repair service operating in London.

The sites operate seven days a week and repairs are available on a drop-in or appointment basis.

Mike Wise, head of Kwik-Fit Fleet, said: “Our ability to significantly undercut the cost of ‘smart’ repairs quoted by other providers, and the availability of repairs on a drop-in basis, provides fleet operators and company car and van drivers with a win-win situation.

“We will analyse the success of the trial later this year.
