The 1.6HDi 110hp engine in Citroën's C5 range has been re-homologated and now offers improved fuel efficiency, lower CO2 emissions and free first year VED.

These improvements affect all trim levels of the Saloon and Tourer that are powered by the HDi 110hp unit. Fuel economy, over the combined cycle, has improved 6% to 56.5mpg, whilst CO2 emissions have been slashed by 10g/km, from 140g to 130g.

The changes bring these C5 models into the new VED Band D, qualifying them for free road tax in the first year. Company car drivers also stand to benefit, thanks to a 1-point reduction in BIK taxation rates - down to 18%.
