Complectus launches misfuelling insurance cover

Complectus has developed a new misfuelling insurance product with AXA Assistance to get drivers mobile again if they make the error of misfuelling their vehicle.

Often, misfuelling is not covered by a motor insurance policy or on standard breakdown cover. With an average cost for draining and flushing the fuel tank in excess of £200 the misfuelling cover provides fleets with a way of managing their exposure to this risk.

“On average 150,000 drivers a year, make the error of misfuelling. With modern engines running quieter, mixed fleets and with multi-car ownership, it’s easy to see how in a momentary lapse of concentration this happens. We believe our policy covers the key issue of misfuelling at a very reasonable price” explains Complectus’ managing director, Peter Powell.

Complectus is a claims management solutions business, specialising in bespoke automotive products. Policies are available on an annual basis, or at further discounted rates for 3 year cover.

Misfuelling Insurance is included as standard in our end of lease refurbishment product – Lease Guard.
