Peugeot is working in partnership with Nexus Vehicle Management to significantly increase vehicle rental business from its dealership network around the country.

Nexus has been appointed to manage the Peugeot Car and Van Rental Programme and will be integrating the Peugeot rental fleet into its IRIS rental management system. This will give Peugeot dealers reservations and rental management tools to be able to manage rental activity as an integral part of their business operations.

“Nexus Vehicle Management has a tremendous track record in the vehicle rental management sector, with an innovative and entrepreneurial approach,” said a Peugeot spokesman. “We were particularly impressed with the company’s response to our desire to reinvigorate the car and van rental activity at our franchise dealerships.

“The outlets have a great opportunity to provide rental services to their local markets but need the tools and expertise to do this. We, therefore, aim to increase the number of locations operating the rental programme. We also see this initiative giving us renewed focus on rental sales at a national level.”

Nexus will also be providing valuable guidance and advice on local marketing activities that will help generate increased rental business for the Peugeot dealers.

“Peugeot has a very clear strategy to extend the range of services offered to customers at a local level,” said Neil McCrossan, CEO of Nexus Vehicle Rental. “Offering short-term car and van rental is an obvious opportunity but it has to be achieved without impacting on the new and used car sales and servicing activities and resources of the dealerships.”
