Mark has taken up the new post following last year’s restructuring of Alliance Asset Management’ management team as the company embarks on a new phase of expansion.

Alliance Asset Management’s managing director Vincent St Claire said: “Mark has many years’ industry experience and brings a wealth of knowledge, contacts and experience in business improvement to Alliance Asset Management that will help the company’s multi-channel growth.”

Previously he spent almost two years at the AA as product manager for vehicle rental working across B2B and B2C business channels. His career also includes a seven-year spell at Arval where he held both product and marketing roles within the fleet and fuel management company’s SME division.

Mr Thompson said: “Alliance Asset Management is an independent provider and not tied to a bank or any other organisation. Consequently a flexibility to deliver fleet solutions to customers efficiently and effectively is its core strength.”

He added: “Alliance Asset Management specialises in the SME sector where many organisations require help to meet their individual funding and vehicle requirements. The SME sector is where long-term fleet industry growth will come from and Alliance is well placed to focus on delivering bespoke solutions to these important organisations.”
