Citroën has announced the appointment of Jason King to the newly created position of manager - Whole Life Costs, based at Citroën UK's Head Office in Slough.

Reporting to Andy Wady, Citroën UK's fleet director, King will be responsible for the brand's relationships with key contacts in the RV and SMR influencers, and optimising Citroën's Total Cost of Ownership proposition.

The introduction of new technologies, such as full-electric, micro-hybrid (e-HDi) and diesel hybrid (HYbrid4) drivetrains, plus the expansion of the DS line - to include DS4 and DS5 - clearly illustrates just how much the brand and the Citroën product range are changing. King will communicate these developments to key industry influencers and will work with internal teams to ensure the effective positioning of Citroën products in the fleet marketplace.

King joins Citroën from EurotaxGlass's where he was head of Market Intelligence. In this role, he helped establish EurotaxGlass's reputation for expert residual value forecasting, interpreting automotive market trends and assessing their impact on future demand and values.

Fleet director, Andy Wady, said; "I am delighted that Jason has joined Citroën as he brings a wealth of experience, and is a very well known and respected industry figure. I am confident that Jason will continue the work we have already done, successfully communicating to the fleet industry that the Citroën brand is going through a period of renaissance with a fresh new corporate identity, a raft of innovative new products and a revitalised dealer network focusing much more on the needs of our fleet customers."

King commented; "I am thrilled to be joining the Company as Citroën enters a new, even more confident and dynamic stage in its history. Having spent a number of years working closely with different manufacturers on residual value management, I am looking forward to concentrating on enhancing the Whole Life Cost positioning of the exciting Citroën models of the future."
