During the last three months, MG Motor has been travelling the country bringing the Great British Charity Test Drive to all corners of the UK.

Now, MG is delighted to team up with new dealer, The Finchley & Totteridge Car Centre, to hold an event with a difference.

To celebrate the return of the marque to the capital, MG is holding a day of Motoring and Festive Fun on Saturday December 3rd in and around the dealership in Colney Hatch Lane to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and introduce the new MG6 GT and Magnette cars to the people of London.

For early risers, the fun starts at the world famous Ace Café on the North Circular at 8am, where MG owners from across London and the South East will convene for breakfast before departing on a local run to the Finchley & Totteridge Car Centre at 10am. With its rich motoring heritage, there seems no place more appropriate than the Ace Cafe to start the celebration of the return of one of Britain’s classic marques to the capital.

Although the Finchley & Totteridge Car Centre is a newly appointed dealer, their associations with the MG brand date back many years. Founders and partners, David Marks and Bradley Noble both worked at London’s former premier MG outlet, the Palmsville Garage of Muswell Hill. For long periods this was the best selling MG dealer in the UK and it was at Palmsville where David and Bradley learnt their trade and developed their passion for MG.

Bradley said: “When the opportunity arose for us to become the representatives for MG in this part of London, it was a massive draw. David and I have been associated with MG for a huge part of our professional lives and it was the service principles we took from our time at Palmsville Garage that we used to found the Finchley & Totteridge Car Centre and they remain the values that we work to today.

“Palmsville Garage may have closed now, but we like to think that the spirit lives on in everything we do here and we look forward to welcoming back a number of previous Palmsville MG customers to the fold.”

From 11am on Saturday, attention switches to the Finchley & Totteridge Car Centre on Colney Hatch Lane from where the Great British Charity Test Drive will be run. For every Test Drive taken on Saturday 3rd December or Sunday 4th December, MG Motor will donate £5 to Macmillan Cancer Support. In addition to the Test Drive event, there will be a variety of other activities to enjoy including talks on the past, present and future of MG along with a charity raffle and plenty of other festive treats to keep all the family amused. There are also bargains to be had with exclusive deals available on the new MG6 for one weekend only.
