Thrifty expands team by creating new role

To further enhance its growing network of corporate customers, Thrifty Car & Van Rental has appointed an account development manager for the south midlands.

As part of her new role, Wendy Venus will be responsible for overseeing, maintaining and developing existing corporate business as well as working to introduce new offers into the expanding corporate market.

Having previously worked as fleet manager for Connaught PLC and customer service manager at Travel Quest, Venus brings with her a wealth of business and customer care experience.

Keen to make an impact in her new role, Venus comments: “There are many strong opportunities in the corporate market place which I’m keen to help Thrifty embrace and I’ll be working very closely with the team to help implement a productive fleet management strategy. I am also looking forward to building solid relationships with the branch managers and all members of the operations team to ensure we continue delivering the right solutions for our clients.”

Caroline Gallagher, director of corporate sales at Thrifty, said: “The corporate market is still performing well as we continue to offer flexible solutions to meet changing needs. It’s testament to our growing business that we are able to create this new role in the south midlands and Wendy’s fleet and customer service experience will enable her to nurture and expand our corporate relationships while growing awareness of our strong flexible offer.”
