Enterprise launches electric pilot

Enterprise Rent-A-Car is investing in a 12-month electric vehicle pilot in London involving eight Peugeot iOn cars. Enterprise has also established 11 charging points in key branches across the capital as part of the Government’s Plugged-In Places programme.

This initial phase will focus on developing Enterprise employees’ knowledge and experience of electric vehicles so they can better advise their customers.

Customers based within the M25 region will also get a chance to experience electric vehicles as passengers with Enterprise’s free pick-up service, which brings customers to and from branches to a location of their choice.

The Peugeot iOn is a key component of Enterprise’s ongoing investment in exploring how new technologies can help promote sustainable motoring and help customers reduce their impact on the environment. Enterprise is also in discussions about providing further electric vehicles for rental in the future.
