Europcar is challenging the status quo of the car hire market by launching a new unique service for leisure travellers. freeDeliver is the new consumer offering from Europcar, bringing leisure travellers free delivery and collection for their car hire, and Ken McCall, managing director, Europcar UK, believes it’s a crucial step in putting the trust back into the relationship between car hire companies and leisure travellers.

“As the market leaders, I think we need to set the benchmark for a new customer-focused car hire service for leisure travellers” explained Ken McCall. “freeDeliver is just one of the initiatives we are developing to achieve this and aims to strengthen the trust consumers have in the car hire marketplace as a whole.

“freeDeliver gives back time to our customers – and gives them a service with no strings attached. Business travellers already know how convenient it is to have the car delivered to their door – and collected at the end of the reservation and now we are giving that same convenience to leisure travellers.”

freeDeliver offers Europcar leisure customers the convenience of free delivery and collection at their home. Valid for all bookings for two days or more, it’s completely free of charge within 15 miles of any of Europcar’s 200 locations. Customers can have their car delivered to any address within an agreed one hour window, so there’s no waiting around and Europcar collects it at the end of the booking – no hassle, no charge.

“Once again Europcar is leading the way with the launch of a new service into the leisure market, building on our experience and knowledge in the business travel marketplace” explained McCall.

“No other hire company offers such a service for consumers, but we hope it will set the benchmark and others will follow suit because car hire needs to be as convenient as possible.”
