An action-packed day of motor racing was one of the attractions on the menu when Bristol-based National Mobile Windscreens chose the famous Castle Combe circuit in Wiltshire as the venue for the company’s 40th anniversary celebration.

More than 100 invited guests from 32 major fleet and insurance companies attended the motorsport venue’s highlight Summer Racing Carnival event.

They also watched as chairman George Douglas (pictured) competed in the Invitation class of the Sports and GT Championship and came 9th in both races driving his classic Martin BM9.

National Mobile Windscreens has a long association with the Wiltshire circuit and has sponsored the Saloon Car Championship there for more than 20 years.

The party was one of the headline events organised by National Mobile Windscreens to celebrate its 40th year.

The business was started as a one-man enterprise by George Douglas working from a minivan in Bristol. Now it is the UK’s largest independent supplier of automotive replacement glass and the largest owner of National Windscreens. There are 114 branches nationwide and a fleet of 750 mobile units to provide a rapid response to emergency calls.
