Peugeot unveiled its limited edition of its forthcoming diesel hybrid model, the 508 RXH, at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

With a high specification and delivery due in March 2012 this 508 will be limited to just 30 units for the UK. Fleets can place their orders now.

The Peugeot 508 RXH is characterised by its Hybrid4 powertrain and high specification. The diesel-electric hybrid powertrain is a hybridisation of the 2.0-litre HDi FAP diesel engine developing 163bhp driving the front wheels with a 37bhp electric motor driving the rear axle.

As a result, it has a total combined output of 200bhp, zero emissions vehicle mode for silent running, four-wheel drive - with grip to all four wheels and CO2 emissions of 109g/km with economy at 67mpg.

Key features of the 508 RXH limited edition include copper metallic paintwork, Lama leather and Alcantara upholstery, Peugeot open & go system, Xenon headlamps, motorised tailgate and electric powered, heated and memory position seats.

It also features front parking aid, automatic quad-zone air conditioning, JBL Hi-Fi and distinctive Attila 18" alloy wheels with every car carrying an individually numbered plaque.

The 508 RXH limited edition will be the first models delivered in March 2012, priced at £36,000 (on-the-road).

The standard 508 RXH will also go on sale at the time. Peugeot hopes to sell "many thousands" of them in the UK.
