TNT has announced a new partnership with Masternaut to help drive TNT’s service efficiency and the overall service it offers to its customers.

The system monitors TNT’s 720-strong fleet of special service vehicles, allowing each one to be located accurately 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

In addition, the increased efficiency is reaping benefits for TNT, its drivers and its customers and is playing a significant part in reducing the company’s carbon footprint.

TNT’s vehicle operators now have complete fleet visibility with the ability to identify individual vehicles to determine exact location, driver contact details and their ETA to the next delivery point.

The operators can update customers with when their parcels are due to be delivered or if any delays are likely due to traffic jams, accidents or roadworks.

Masternaut’s technology also allows operators direct access to the Highways Agency roadside cameras to see road and traffic conditions in real-time.

Steve Brown, divisional general manager, TNT Special Services, said: “It’s an absolutely superb system that allows us to not only monitor where each of our drivers is at any given time but also provide our customers with as good a service as possible. It allows the operator to take complete control of the fleet but also use the fleet as a national fleet which has hugely increased our efficiency on delivery runs.”
