Mitsubishi announces new dealership in Cornwall

Mitsubishi has confirmed the appointment of Hawkins Mitsubishi who yesterday opened their doors at Park Garage, Browns Hill, Penryn, TR10 8DW. This latest addition to Mitsubishi’s 114 strong nationwide dealer network will provide Mitsubishi Sales, Service and Parts sales to the Penryn area.

Richard May, dealer principal, said: “Mitsubishi is a great brand with a fantastic range of vehicles; we are excited to bring the brand back into Cornwall.  Hawkins Mitsubishi Penryn is now offering the full range of new vehicles, parts and service alongside a wide selection of used vehicles.  The new addition is based at Park Garage, with a state of the art showroom due to be completed next year.”

Lance Bradley, Mitsubishi UK managing director, said: “Hawkins join us at what is an exciting time for Mitsubishi Motors in the UK. Next year sees the launch of a number of new and exciting models that will complement our existing range.

These include the all-new clean diesel Outlander Crossover and the aerodynamic, super-efficient B-segment Mirage, not forgetting the launch of Mitsubishi's pioneering plug-in hybrid technology later in the year. After the launch of the Mitsubishi i-MiEV in 2009, Mitsubishi's plug-in hybrid technology is the next major step, not only within the motor industry, but towards Mitsubishi's green target of vehicles with PHEV/ EV technology accounting for 20% of sales by 2020.

“We are delighted to welcome on board Hawkins Mitsubishi, a well established family run business, with a reputation for excellent customer service. This is just the type of dealer that will be successful within the Mitsubishi dealer network and will help strengthen the Mitsubishi brand in Cornwall.”
