Lisa Grimsley has been named general manager and will take responsibility for both the Leeds and Prees Heath operations. Grimsley, who joined Aston Barclay in November 2008, has been instrumental in developing and growing the company’s Prees Heath auction house in Shropshire.

Work on transforming the four-and-a-half acre site started almost immediately after the company bought it in January and is now well underway with an expected completion date of April.
Managing director Tim Hudson, said: “These are exciting times for the Group. The acquisition of the site in Leeds has enabled us to complete our national coverage in terms of physical auction sites. Feedback from our customers has been terrific.

“We have put in a place a team that ensures our Leeds operation is in very experienced hands. Lisa has totally transformed our Prees Heath operation, she commands a tremendous amount of respect in the industry and together with Amy, we are confident the site will be a huge success. We are very pleased to have been able to promote talent from within the Aston Barclay group.”
