Geneva set the stage for the world’s first look at the new four-door BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe, available in either a 6 or 8 cylinder engine.

The new 6-Series Gran Coupe is the first four-door coupe from BMW and is due to arrive in showrooms in June this year, putting the car in direct competition with the Mercedes CLS.

The entry model for the new coupe comes with a 640d or 640i engine all with BMW TwinPower Turbo Technology, BMW have confirmed a smaller engine will not be offered.

All model variants are fitted an 8-speed sports automatic transmission. In addition to the automatic engine start-stop function, the standard ECO PRO mode also helps reduce fuel consumption.

The sporty exterior is coupled with a luxurious interior, adding further sporty appeal, the M Sport package will also be made available at the car’s launch.
