Telematics industry descends on London for two-day conference

The telematics industry will take centre stage at the Insurance Telematics Europe 2012 Conference on May 9-10 in London.

Auto OEMs, wireless carriers, device manufacturers and insurers will convene at the event to discuss how to send insurance telematics mass-market.

There is already a great deal of growth in this landscape and several companies are forging forwards to enter and capture this market.

Most of the insurance companies across Europe are running extensive pilot schemes and several are looking to launch their products in early 2012.

Research has proven that there are several key issues that need to be addressed such as regulation changes, such as the new gender ruling law in the UK, consumer acceptance, privacy concerns and the creation of a viable business models, but these are vastly outweighed by the ever-growing opportunities and this markets returns on investment.

Insurance Telematics Europe 2012 aims to address these crucial issues with speakers confirmed so far including, Zurich, Aviva, Magneti Marelli, Telenor, KPN, Generali and Insurethebox.
