FMG receives BSI and ISO accreditations

FMG has achieved accreditations from the BSI (BS25999 for business continuity management) and the ISO (ISO27001 for information security).

The continuity management award endorses FMG’s ability to cope with unexpected scenarios, ranging from computer failure to structural damage to buildings, while maintaining service levels.

It covers a wide range of business areas including people, premises, suppliers and assets and recognises the business has the systems in place to continue operating should unforeseen events impact on activity.

The process for attaining the standard also encourages continual development of business continuity planning and regular reappraisal of procedures.

The information security standard recognises the way FMG handles customer information and provides evidence of the company’s ability and systems to ensure the safe management of sensitive data.

ISO27001 assures customers and clients of FMG that their information will be protected when it’s in FMG’s hands.

In order to achieve the certification, FMG had to demonstrate they had reliable systems in place, suiting the unique characteristics of the business and industry, which includes 19 separate information security related policies.
