Fuel Card Services, part of The Fuel Card Group, has extended its Leeds headquarters and is recruiting more staff, thanks to its continuing success.

The company, which strives to help businesses cut their vehicle fuel bills, has more than trebled its staffing in just five years.

It had occupied one floor of Alexandra House, on Redwood Business Park, but has now taken over another whole floor that has room for 60 staff.

Jane Phelan, sales manager, said, “People want personal service as well as cost savings, so we stand out from other companies by giving each customer a dedicated account manager.

“The result is that we are successful and growing. We have already recruited a number of additional staff in recent weeks and will be recruiting more well into 2014.”

Fuel Card Services celebrated the opening of the new floor alongside a number of VIP guests, including firms who had helped in preparing the premises.

The guests included senior executives Donal Murphy and Conor Murphy, visiting from the Dublin-based parent group, DCC.

Fuel Card Services provides its customers with fuel cards, allowing them to buy diesel and petrol at reduced prices. It offers fuel cards covering every major fuel brand, including cards that can be used at supermarkets.
