The ECO Stars Fleet Recognition Scheme is being launched in four more areas of the country in the first quarter of 2013.

The new areas are:

  • Thurrock (Essex) – 7 February at Sigma Studies (a local HGV and PCV training organisation);
  • Falkirk (Scotland) – 21 February at Falkirk Stadium;
  • York – 5 March at the Future Transport Conference; and
  • Nottingham Urban Area – 12 March (expanding the existing Gedling District scheme to City-wide operation).

Existing schemes are operating in South Yorkshire, Mid-Devon, Edinburgh and Gedling.

The ECO Stars (Efficient and Cleaner Operations) Fleet Recognition Scheme, helps HGV, LGV, bus and coach fleet operators gain recognition for their commitment to improving efficiency, reducing fuel consumption and reducing emissions – all helping to improve local air quality.
