A UK carbon reduction programme sees Toyota and Lexus Centres reduce their carbon footprint by 15% in 2012.

This puts the business firmly on course to achieve its goal of an average 20% reduction in its Toyota and Lexus Centres' carbon footprint by the end of 2014.

Already more than 3,700 tonnes of CO2 are being saved each year, equivalent to the emissions from 13.8 million miles driven in an average car.

Toyota says the co-ordinated scheme reflects its commitment to leading the motor industry in minimising the environmental impact not just of the vehicles it makes, but of its entire manufacturing and business operations.
