The third annual Everywoman in Transport & Logistics Leadership Academy will take place on September 10 at the Daventry Court Hotel in Northamptonshire.

Logistics is the fifth largest industry sector, worth £75bn to the UK economy and employing approximately 1.55 million people, spanning over 192,740 companies. However, of the 1.55 million people employed in logistics just 24% are women and there are still relatively few women at the top.

The Leadership Academy supports the development of female talent in transport and logistics, in order to attract and retain more talented women and build a strong pipeline of female leaders.

Tailored for female future leaders it provides them with insight, knowledge and practical skills through a full day of learning, inspiration and networking. With a keynote address from Carole Woodhead, CEO, Hermes; a panel comprising successful women in transport and logistics as well as interactive masterclasses focusing on personal development, the day will enable attendees to accelerate their career progression in the transport and logistics industry.

Everywoman co-founder, Max Benson, said: “The Everywoman in Transport & Logistics Leadership Academy will once again help strengthen the female talent pipeline in the sector by offering a day dedicated to personal development for female middle managers. The Academy enables women to take charge of their own careers and to truly drive their development to accelerate their career progression.”
