Fownd, the vehicle hire, mini lease and fleet management company, is partnering with system provider Fleetondemand (FOD) to streamline its vehicle rental administration.

FOD’s software enables real-time availability of vehicles so fleet operators find what they want sooner.

The Birmingham-based company hires out a wide range of vehicles including the more unusual hearses, 4X4s, quad bikes, motorbikes as well as regular cars, vans, trucks and people carriers.

It is using the web-optimised system to continually update its stock and is accessible from all devices – including mobiles - around the clock. This enables customers to book quickly when and where they want to and, in some cases, within 30 seconds.

Fownd’s clients can add their own data, driver details, payroll information and multi-level reports, including driver accident history and penalty charges, by company department or individual.

FOD’s system also features a dynamic search, intuitive alerts, driver behaviour profiles and has collaborative tools for query resolution and effective communication across supply chains.

Sarah Easton, managing director of Fleetondemand, said: “Business vehicle hire is all about control – over rates, terms, excesses, deliveries, collections, damage, fuel – our system gives business purchasers real-time information, wrapped up in a neat dashboard, delivered in a split second.”
