Telematics available to SMEs with leasing option

Telemetry provider In-Car Cleverness has launched a manageable leasing option designed to eliminate up-front capital expenditure for businesses.

With SMEs running fleets of 10 to 250 in mind, the new pricing plan removes the need to purchase the unit and covers the cost of installation for every vehicle.

Starting from £10 per unit, and available on 2 to 5 year plans, the new leasing option includes the installation, advanced In-Car Cleverness telemetry unit, software subscription and airtime.

Although the package can be applied to any fleet size, it has been designed to appeal to smaller fleets where In-Car Cleverness believes the ‘real adoption’ of telematics is now taking hold.

Tim Eaves explained: “Historically, smaller enterprises have a nimbleness that allows them to adopt new technologies quicker than their larger rivals.

“By offering a leasing option, we’re helping them further by supporting a need to manage costs before they start to integrate telematics and show the positive impact it can have on the P&L line.”

Once installed, Eaves says the system is proven to deliver savings of at least 10 percent by reducing fuel, insurance and maintenance costs as well as “significantly improving risk management and duty of care.”
