Lightning Packaging Supplies add Sprinter

Packing specialist Lightning Packaging Supplies have added to their growing fleet with the latest Mercedes-Benz Sprinter recently being delivered to their Hatfield premises.

Gary Morley, transport manager for Lightning Packaging Supplies, welcomed the new vehicle, saying the new addition was vital to the business’ logistics:  “Our aim has always been to provide a complete, reliable and unrivalled service to our customers. Our fleet of Mercedes Vans and Trucks help us achieve this, they are very reliable and the service we get from S & B Commercials is great”.

The latest addition to the growing sprinter fleet is a long-body 313 CDI model. The new vehicle is from the latest Sprinter range, introduced late last year, and recognisable by a more sculpted bonnet, near vertical, wedge-shaped radiator grille with perforated slats, and revised, more angular headlights.

The vehicle’s safety armoury includes several world ‘firsts’, among them the Crosswind Assist system, which detects sudden strong gusts of wind and helps to prevent the van drifting out of its lane by applying individual brakes on one side of the vehicle.
