Novadata has introduced a new Health and Safety Driver and Manager Awareness course.

This is offered both as part of Novadata’s Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) JAUPT approved periodic training offering and as a new element in its range of transport management training courses.

The course, which counts as seven hours towards Driver CPC training, covers some essential basics and best practice for transport professionals.  The course is aimed at both the LGV and PCV industries, and covers useful topics ranging from risk assessments to safe systems of work and daily vehicle checks.

Managing director Su Winch said: “At Novadata we are keen to provide an extensive range of highly targeted courses that ensure that periodic Driver CPC training is as beneficial and practically applicable as possible for attendees.  Managers and drivers are required to stay current on Health & Safety legislation as part of their responsibilities, and this course is designed to help them to achieve that, while forming part of the training needed to obtain a Driver Qualification Card or DQC, or to keep it up to date once they have obtained it.”

This new course has been designed to give drivers and managers a greater understanding of Health and Safety regulations and an appreciation of the impact they have on their working lives.

From simple day-to-day activities, such as loading or unloading goods or luggage safely, or ensuring the correct relevant Personal Protective Equipment is available and in good working order, to exploring accident prevention measures, this new course has been designed by a team which fully understand the demands of the transport industry.

The course is offered by Novadata on a regular basis; and dates are available for booking now.
