Rolec Services is to offer free 32amp (7.2kW) electric vehicle charging points to domestic customers.

The offer, which is being subsidised by Rolec under the Government’s OLEV Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme, also sees the company continuing to provide its 16amp (3.6kW) charging points for free for all customers eligible for the Government scheme.

The basic eligibility criteria are that the customer should own or have ordered a plug-in vehicle - or lease/drive a company EV for more than 6 months.

Rolec business development manager Bianca Orrey said: “We believe Rolec is the only charging point manufacturer offering 32amp and 16amp charging points, in both tethered lead and charging socket formats, for free.

“This unique offer will continue until March 2015 or until funding for the scheme runs out.”

Rolec’s free package includes its popular WallPod HomeCharge unit, a 3-year GPRS modem data package, full installation and materials, as well as testing and certification.
