BMW has expended the i5 line-up to include a new Sport Edition variant, which reduces the car's list price to £66,790.
The i5 previously had a starting price of £74,105, for the M Sport trim.
The new Sport Edition is paired with the same eDrive40 powertrain, delivering 340PS to the rear wheels and giving a range of around 350 miles from its 83.9kWh battery.
BMW has introduced the new trim alongside a Touring version of the i5, which is also available in Sport Edition priced from £69,040.
Sport Edition includes 19-inch alloy wheels, adaptive LED headlights, heated front seats, parking sensors with reversing camera, satin aluminium exterior trims and a Harman Kardon sound system.
A 22kW on-board AC charger is also part of the standard equipment.
