Mercedes has showcased the next-generation CLA Shooting Brake, which comes with an electric powertrain for the first time.

Developed alongside the all-new CLA, the CLA Shooting Brake will arrive in the UK in early 2026.

There will be a CLA 250+ variant with 272PS and a 473-mile range, alongside a more powerful CLA 350. The latter will have 353PS and range of 453 miles.

Both cars use an 85kW battery with 800v electrical architecture, enabling 320kW rapid charging.

Additional powertrain options will be available at a later date.

The new CLA Shooting Brake has a larger footprint than its predecessor, providing more passenger space. The boot volume is slightly smaller, at 455 litres, but the new electric model also has a 100-litre storage compartment under the bonnet.

UK specs and prices are yet to be confirmed but are likely to attract a premium over the new CLA saloon, which starts at £45,615.
