Ford and Tesla are the latest manufacturers to confirm their attendance at this year’s Company Car In Action show.

The UK’s premier fleet driving event, which takes place at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire on June 14-15, now has 17 manufacturer brands signed up, with more expected to confirm in the coming weeks.

Ford, the current Fleet News Awards van manufacturer of the year, will be bringing a variety of models from its expansive range, from fun-to-drive, fuel-efficient cars to versatile, capable utility vehicles and tough, durable commercial vehicles.

The company will showcase its latest electric models as it transitions towards a target of selling only full electric cars in the UK by 2030, while two-thirds of its commercial vehicles will be full electric or plug-in hybrid by the same date. With nine battery electric vehicles scheduled for introduction by the end of 2024, Ford is building rapidly towards a sustainable future.

“We’re delighted to be attending Company Car in Action 2023. Visit us to drive our latest electrified vehicles and meet the very newest member of the Ford vehicle family – the new, all-electric Explorer,” said the company. “We look forward to welcoming you!”

Vans will continue to have a major presence on the Ford stand, in keeping with previous years.

“Our Ford Pro mission is simple: we’re here to make running your commercial vehicles as easy and hassle-free as possible,” Ford said. “We can provide you with a complete, end-to-end commercial fleet solution including finding you the right vehicles and providing a host of intelligent fleet management software, vehicle maintenance plans and financing. And it’s all seamlessly connected to help maximise your business’s productivity.”

Electric trailblazer Tesla, which had the third best selling model of 2022 with the Model Y, will be bringing both the Model 3 and Model Y to the event.

This may include a new long-range rear-wheel drive version of the Model 3, specifically targeted at fleet customers, with the first deliveries starting in June.

“To accelerate the electrification of Europe's B2B fleet, we are introducing a new Model 3 variant that caters to the needs of our commercial customers. Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive combines a segment-leading range of 634 km (394 miles -WLTP) with highest charging convenience, at an entry-level price point from £46,990,” said Tesla.

“Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive offers an expansive range of premium features included as standard equipment. In addition to remote management via mobile app with standard connectivity, heat-pump and Autopilot, it comes standard with a series of active safety features such as Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane Departure Avoidance.”

The new model is available to order now via Tesla’s B2B channels, including its Tesla For Business portal.

“By using the portal, customers can access a live overview of their fleet and perform various tasks such as ordering new vehicles, manage charging and premium subscriptions as well as driver access,” added the company.
