A supplier of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions for businesses, Drax Electric Vehicles, has opened a new warehouse and office facility in Coventry.
The new depot is part of Drax EVs' expansion plans to employ 120 staff and operate two additional depots across the UK.
The Holbrook Park site will serve as a warehouse with office and meeting facilities Drax EVs and its installation business, BMM Energy Solutions.
It has been installing EV charging hubs and on-street EV charging for the past 12 years, with customers, including Euro Garages, Applegreen Electric, Morrisons Supermarkets, Jolt and Arnold Clark.
Adam Hall, director of Drax EVs and BMM Energy Solutions, said: “Coventry is the perfect location for us. Its close proximity to the motorways allows our engineers to access almost anywhere in the country to install EV charge points. There’s also a fantastic pool of local talent to support our growth ambitions.”
Together, Drax EVs and BMM Energy Solutions offer an end-to-end journey for organisations seeking to electrify their fleets or premises.
They cover everything from vehicle suitability assessments through to charge point installation, operation and ongoing maintenance, providing fleet managers with a single point of contact throughout their electrification journey.
As demand for commercial EV infrastructure continues to rise, Drax EVs says that the expansion represents a significant investment in capacity to support large-scale fleet operators making the transition to zero-emission vehicles.
