Radian has been certified as a Gold Fleet by Masternaut for reducing CO2 emissions and operating an efficient fleet compared to competitors.

The company has been working with the telematics provider to drive intelligence from the data it collects.

An eco-driving report, for example, has allowed Radian to create driver leaderboards and intervene if any driving issues arise.

Meanwhile, new fuel efficient vehicles now account for more than half of Radian’s fleet and the planning team is constantly thinking of new ways to better route the drivers to drive further efficiencies.

Radian fleet manager Sam McIndoe said: “Climate change is a problem that affects us all, and as socially responsible operators, Radian is constantly focused on being a green operator. Masternaut’s certification serves as recognition of all the hard work we have been doing to improve the efficiency of our fleet.”

Masternaut’s Fleet CO2 Certification has been independently verified by the Energy Saving Trust. Calculations are based on primary fuel data captured which generates the highest precision level for CO2 emissions calculations, it says.

When these values are combined with vehicle distances then the resultant outputs can be used to assess vehicle efficiency on an ongoing basis.
