Fisker plans to open a global dealer network in order to support sales of its new Ocean SUV.

The company is expecting to have 100 sites across America and Europe. The first Ocean models will be shipped to dealers in Q1 2024.

Around half of the new dealers will be based in Europe. Fisker says it will operate a 'hybrid' sales model, blending direct sales with more traditional retailing.

Fisker currently operates via a direct sales model only. It has two locations in the UK - a Fisker Lounge in London's Westfield shopping centre and a Fisker Centre+ in Milton Keynes.

The new Fisker Ocean is a mid-size SUV that has a range of up to 440 miles and prices that start from £35,970.

Earlier this week, the car maker confirmed Santander Consumer Finance was chosen as its preferred finance partner for UK customers.

The new partnership will enable Fisker customers to select financing packages, including personal contract purchase (PCP) and personal contract hire (PCH), conditional sale (CS) and business contract hire (BCH).

In November, Fisker announced that Octopus Electric Vehicles had agreed a deal to become one of the first lease providers in the UK to offer the new Fisker Ocean SUV.
