Gauntlet Group launches holistic fleet surveys

Ian McCarron, Gauntlet Group

Motor fleet insurance and risk management specialists Gauntlet Group has launched a fleet analysis service aimed at reducing risk and costs.

Gauntlet Fleet Surveys aim to provide analysis of a fleet's claims history and risk management strategies and assessments, and will identify areas where improvements will reduce insurance premiums, control risks and prevent fraudulent claims.

Ian McCarron, Gauntlet director, said: “We regard our fleet surveys as part of a positive and progressive service that we provide to clients, both existing and new, when they are focused on both improving their risk, to benefit from the efficiencies and lower insurance premiums that such improvements bring, or when they wish to demonstrate their effectiveness to their own clients."

The report is created by Gauntlet’s health and safety and insurance teams, following a site visit and analysis of its day-to-day operation, historic and current performance and claims history.

A survey will typically focus on driver pre-selection, retention and training, as well as vehicle selection and use and the current performance of the fleet.
