Mach 1 Couriers has bought Creative Cars & Couriers: its largest acquisition to date.

The deal follows the recent acquisition of Destinations Green and means Mach 1's umbrella now comprises 20 courier businesses, including A to Z Couriers and Pink Express.

Creative, which has a turnover of around £5 million, was established in 1984 and provides executive cars and couriers in London and delivery services worldwide.

Mach 1 will acquire Creative’s fleet of approximately 50 passenger cars, 50 couriers and more than 1,500 corporate accounts ranging from well-known media brands to legal companies.

Creative will continue to trade under its current name in the short-term to guarantee its customers business continuity.

Jeremy Thompson, managing director of Mach 1 Couriers said: “We are delighted to have acquired the well-established Creative business which is one of our largest and most high profile acquisitions to date.

"There are significant synergies between the two companies as we share key common family values and goals.

"This acquisition underpins our business strategy to grow significantly over the coming years and adds significant revenue to our business as well as experienced staff, an additional office of excellence, along with an increased fleet and job count.

"Our utmost priority is customer satisfaction and we will continue to provide an outstanding service in the same day, UK overnight, international courier and passenger transport sector."
