UK Carline has just taken delivery of 10 Toyota C-HR Hybrids to update part of its company car fleet.

Funded on contract hire, the hybrids will form roughly 30% of its fleet.

General manager of UK Carline, Jonathan Nolan, said: “We work very closely with Toyota GB and are pleased to have taken delivery of their new C-HR. Not only is it an excellent new model but running C-HR Hybrids is another step for us to reduce our fleet emissions.

“Vehicles are a necessity for UK Carline and for the organisations that we supply, but we are committed to minimising our own carbon footprint and helping them achieve their own eco-targets too. Our customers appreciate that we are environmentally aware and as a supplier we’re also committed to their corporate social responsibilities too.”

Last year the company saw a significant increase in the number of electric and hybrid vehicles that they supplied and expect this to continue in 2017.

UK Carline has been running its carbon offset scheme since 2009 and has offset the CO2 emissions of many of the lease vehicles that it’s supplied over the past seven years.

The cars delivered to UK Carline are Toyota C-HR 1.8 Hybrid Dynamic CVT models that are replacing a mix of diesel cars.

Nolan said: “With CO2 emissions of just 87g/km not only are the emissions and running costs low, but our employees also benefit from lower benefit-in-kind taxation too so it’s a win-win situation for everyone. The C-HR is a fantastic, new model and the team are very pleased with them.”

Steve Allenson, Toyota GB’s national contract hire, leasing and rental manager, said: “UK Carline is one of our key broker partners and we are delighted that they have chosen the all new Toyota C-HR for their company car fleet.”
