Wavin aims to cut vehicle downtime with Michelin CrossClimate+ all-season tyres

Ogilvie Fleet has rolled out Michelin's CrossClimate+ all-season tyres to customer Wavin to help reduce vehicle downtime.

The manufacturer of plumbing and drainage products had previously switched between summer and winter tyres, but the leasing company recommended it fitted CrossClimate+ following a trial it carried out in 2016 with Complete Price Eyewear.

The pilot project with Wavin proved successful and it has now given the green light for Ogilvie Fleet - via Kwik Fit - to fit CrossClimate+ on its 140 company cars.

Jim Hannah, operations director at Ogilvie Fleet, said: “Swapping the tyres every winter and summer was proving to be a logistical nightmare for Wavin and adding significant cost.

“We proposed the Michelin CrossClimate+ product to them, having proven successful with Complete Price Eyewear.

"They love the tyre, the flexibility, and not having to change tyres twice a year – which equated to six complete swaps over a three-year contract period.

"They’re now in the process of fitting the new Michelin CrossClimate+ tyres as vehicles come out of the winter tyre programme.”

Ogilive Fleet is eager for other customers who traditionally switch between summer and winter tyres to use CrossClimate.
