The importance of employers offering a balanced benefits package, and where the company car sits within this, will be the focus of a seminar at Fleet Live.

Charles Cotton, performance and reward adviser at the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development, will address the need for businesses to provide a balanced benefits offering that includes company cars, either on a needs or status basis.

Cotton directs the CIPD's performance and reward research agenda, and has recently led research into: how front line managers make and communicate reward decisions to their employees; how employers manage the risks around reward; and how employees form their attitudes to pay.

He will be speaking at Fleet Live, the UK’s premier exhibition and conference for the fleet management community, on October 9

  • Fleet Live is free to attend and takes places at the NEC Birmingham on  9-10 October 2018. For more details, see www.fleet-live.co.uk
