Hyundai Ioniq added to Europcar fleet

2019 Hyundai Ioniq

Europcar Mobility Group UK is continuing to focus on reducing the overall emissions for its fleet, with the addition of Hyundai’s Ioniq hybrid.

Three hundred units are now available as part of the Europcar model choice service, which enables customers to book a specific model, not just a vehicle group.

Available from Europcar locations at London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports as well as Edinburgh and Manchester airports and central London locations (Marble Arch, Victoria and Kings Cross), the Hyundai Ioniq is ideal for business and leisure travellers, it says.

“The Ioniq combines cutting edge motoring innovation with contemporary styling and design to deliver a vehicle, giving travellers a chance to experience the benefits of the latest hybrid technology”, said Gary Smith, managing Director, Europcar Mobility Group UK.

“We continue to invest in the very best models on the market today and the Hyundai Ioniq will be available at key locations to meet the needs of busy travellers. It’s the perfect choice for customers driving in town and cities who wish to cut their emissions and try a car built for the future.”

Michael Stewart, director of fleet, Hyundai Motor UK, added: “As the global car market continues its move towards electrification, many customers are still uncertain of the technology, mainly because of relative inexperience.

“With Europcar’s Model Choice, customers have the opportunity to try hybrid technology for a longer period than they may otherwise be able to and fully understand how easily hybrid technology can be adopted and help to reduce vehicle emissions.”
