Volkswagen Financial Services Fleet has launched its EV4-ME? tool to help company car drivers assess whether electric vehicles are suitable for them.

The tool guides drivers through a series of simple questions about their vehicle and needs, covering issues from charge point availability to daily journey needs.

The site then gives advice on which fuel type could work best for them, whether that’s diesl, petrol, plug-in hybrid or fully electric vehicle.

Tom Brewer, head of sales and marketing at VWFS Fleet, said: “The rapid development of electric vehicles, coupled with ongoing uncertainty around the tax and legislative environment, means that there’s a lot of confusion around who might be suitable for ultra-low emission vehicles.

“We want to assist drivers on their consideration journey, giving them all the information they need to make an informed decision.

“This will help fleet managers guide their drivers to discover whether an ultra-low emission vehicle could work for them.

“Ultimately, facts and evidence should drive the right decisions and where potential myths over charging infrastructure or range exist we will provide strong impartial advice.”

VWFS Fleet is a multi-marque leasing company with the backing of Volkswagen Bank.
