Licence Check carried out a record number of licence checks on company vehicle drivers in July.

The company has seen a 58% year-on-year increase in licence checks carried out in July 2019 versus July 2018, with a 9% increase over the previous record breaking month in May this year.

Its cloud-based Driver and Vehicle Information Solution (DAVIS) brand has been commended by users for its efficiency, clarity and ease of use. Of 149 reviews carried out via the Trustpilot website, 97% of users rated the system either ‘excellent’ or ‘great’ resulting in a five-star ranking, with a score of 9.5 out of 10.

Licence Check has also seen growth in the number of companies using DAVIS, which automates and streamlines driver and vehicle compliance management and addresses duty of care.

This year has seen the signing of contracts with a number of major corporates, including public transport operator, Abellio London, and parcel delivery network, DPDgroup, who are now using DAVIS to automate their driver compliance.

Growth has also come through an active network of channel partners that the company now works with, who resell Licence Check services either as a complete solution or by deploying specific modules from DAVIS in order to enhance their offering to customers.

Licence Check general manager Terry Hiles (pictured) said the record results were testimony to the hard work the company had been carrying out in the last 12-18 months: “We have seen an increase in the number of major corporate customers we are working with, who fully realise the importance of legal compliance and meeting their duty of care obligations to both their drivers and to the public at large.

“And we are working with a number of network partners which has meant an increased number of licence checks as a result.”

There are three levels of partner programmes available. DAVIS can be incorporated into a partner’s own portfolio through an API integration, or as a ‘white labelled’ service.

Earlier this year, Licence Check announced a series of new releases, timed to coincide with the Commercial Vehicle Show in April, to bring important new functionality to DAVIS, including accident recording, enhanced licence checking and improved security.

Since introducing new onboarding methods, adding drivers and more importantly, gaining driver permission, is simple, fast and efficient.
