The new Allstar One Electric card, from Allstar Business Solutions, aims to support fleet customers switching to full electric or hybrid company vehicles.

The fuel card provider says it combines all the benefits of the Allstar One card, but now enables drivers to pay for EV charging across a multi-branded electric charging network.

Paul Holland, managing director of UK Fuel at Fleetcor, said: “Those managing fleets that combine petrol, diesel and electric vehicles are faced with many challenges, needing to manage multiple accounts and payment methods to ensure their fleet has access to a convenient network for all its refuelling needs.

“On top of this, they are met by varying account structures, different pricing, separate invoicing and reporting, leading to a lot of administration that leaves fleet managers and owners without the necessary controls to run their business.

“With our card, we want to ensure our customers are supported with convenient payment solutions to keep their vehicles on the road.”

Allstar’s growing EV charging network includes Engenie, Source London, GeniePoint and ESB EV Solutions.

Ian Johnston, CEO at Engenie, one of the first networks to sign up, said: “Low running costs, minimal maintenance, zero tailpipe emissions, and generous tax incentives means more businesses than ever are going electric.

“Signing up to the Allstar One Electric Card will open up our reliable and renewably powered network of rapid charging points to Allstar’s impressive portfolio of UK fleets.”

Christophe Arnaud, managing director at Source London, added: “Source London is committed to improving the Capital’s air quality. Clearly, convenience and charge point availability are key for residents and businesses when it comes to making the shift to EVs.

“Allstar’s payment solution is the future for an accessible network, and we are proud as London’s leading charging network to help drive it.”

Allstar Business Solutions, will be exhibiting the Allstar One Electric card at Tomorrow’s Fleet Zone – Road to Zero, Fleet Live, on October 8-9, at the NEC, Birmingham.
