A new webinar designed to help fleet managers create their initial formal mobility strategies will be held by the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP), later this month.

The webinar, ‘Getting started on your mobility deployment’, follows increased demand for guidance on creating mobility strategies from AFP members, it said.

The webinar features presentations from Ryan Coles, business services lead at Aviva, Oz Choudhri, head of mobility solutions at Enterprise, and Ross Basnett, strategic account director at Mobilleo.

Paul Hollick, chair at the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP), said: “In the fleet sector, there is obviously much talk of the transition to electrification. But there is also another, perhaps equally important development underway – that of evolving from fleet to mobility strategies.

“To some extent, the pandemic has created a pause in this process because many mobility services are based on shared use of assets but, as things return to normality, we are seeing interest in the subject revive quickly.

“The new webinar, which we are expecting to be very popular, is designed to help fleet managers take their first steps towards creating their initial formal mobility strategies, with the help of some of the sector’s leading experts.”

The webinar will be held at 9:30am on September 8.

The AFP is also holding a further webinar this month, ‘EV charging - company payment and reimbursements’ taking place on September 15 and will include sessions from AFP chair Paul Hollick in his guise as managing director of The Miles Consultancy (TMC) and Ashley Tate, co-founder at Mina, finishing at 10:00am.

Hollick said: “There has been much discussion among EV operators about the best way to approach this subject and we’ll be looking at the most effective and practical approaches available.

“This area is something that is going to become important for employers quite quickly as fleet electrification gathers pace.”
