Rocsys has enabled hands-free charging of Einride’s autonomous electric vehicle (EV), to showcase fully autonomous logistics.

The demonstration was part of the Modi project, which is co-funded by the European Union, and took place at AstaZero - a testing centre for automated transport systems.

The successful deployment of Rocsys’ hands-free charging solution for Einride’s autonomous electric truck at AstaZero’s proving ground, marks a key milestone.

As autonomous electric freight vehicles scale up, seamless charging will ensure continuous and efficient operations.

Crijn Bouman, CEO and co-founder of Rocsys, explained: “The future of mobility is autonomous, which can only be achieved thanks to projects like this one.

“We are excited to have collaborated with Einride to showcase end-to-end hands-free solutions within the logistics industry, proving how automation can transform the industry.”

‍Einride designs, develops and deploys freight mobility technologies with the aim of accelerating the transition to sustainable transportation.

That includes connected electric and autonomous heavy-duty vehicles, charging infrastructure and an intelligent freight operating system.
