Ineos is looking to grow its position in the fleet market by expanding its dealer network and opening more aftersales points.

The company, which launched the original Grenadier in the UK three years ago, now offers five models off the Grenadier ladder chassis: station wagon, cargo utility, commercial and Quartermaster pick-up and chassis cab. Pricing for the commercial models starts at around £51,000.

Ineos has 10 dealers and plans to grow that number in the coming months. It also has a partnership agreement with the AA for aftersales services.

Tony Miller, Ineos fleet manager, said: “The Grenadier is a fleet niche, but it offers a level of flexibility that other models can’t match – there is nothing our vehicles can’t do.”

Target sectors for the vehicle includes utilities, infrastructure/construction, bluelight and MOD where there is a need for a “hard-wearing, go-anywhere, battle-hardened vehicle”, Miller added.

The chassis cab offers the potential for conversions, but also an easy de-conversion at end of lease, giving it greater flexibility when sold on.

Ineos is looking to sell 450 models in the UK this year and believes there is significant potential for further growth.

Miller, who joined the company three months ago, said: “The UK will be an important market for us. Our aim is to be on the buying frameworks such as CCS.”
