RAM Tracking has launched its new Fleet Assist product allowing fleet operators and drivers to record everyday fleet processes on-the-go and aims to make fleet managers’ jobs easier.

The app enables fleet operators to keep track of key documents and dates, including road tax renewals, MOT reminders, insurance renewals and scheduled services, whilst allowing drivers to record daily business transactions – serving as an all-in-one hub for fleets.

RAM Tracking’s operations director Scott Chesworth (pictured) said: “The future is digital, and that doesn’t exclude fleets. RAM Tracking has created Fleet Assist as an essential assistant for operators, enabling fleet management to be kept as efficient as possible.”

Other functions include the ability to speed up processes for vehicle maintenance checks and recording expenses. This aims to allow drivers to quickly and easily log information for individual vehicles, and document fuel purchases and other expenses, simply by photographing the receipt.

The app’s in-built breakdown alert function will notify fleet managers instantly if a breakdown occurs and allowing them to assess which driver is in the best position to takeover.

The ability to record key breakdown information, such as the location of the incident and witness details, also facilitates the making of insurance claims so that fleets can focus on business-as-usual, it said.

For delivery fleets, to further simplify daily practices, Fleet Assist lets drivers collect an image, record the status and document the signature capture of every delivery.

Chesworth said: “Simplifying administrative tasks gives fleet managers more time to focus on growing their business, safe in the knowledge that essential documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

"We’re confident that once businesses are introduced to Fleet Assist, they won’t want to do their jobs without it.”
