Hatfields Group has renewed its Aston Barclay contract. The UK independent dealer group, which sells Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo models, will offer digital solutions via the continued partnership.

The company will continue to develop a customer journey via Aston Barclay’s Cascade digital solution. This will allow the dealership to cover all stages of its retail, sourcing and used vehicle disposal process, it said.

Gareth Williams, managing director at Hatfields Group, said: “We have been delighted with the results achieved by Aston Barclay to date with our physical auction programme helping speed up the sale of other franchise vehicles.

“Aston Barclay Prees Heath has helped support the continued growth of our group used car business and we are already taking steps to explore the opportunities presented by its Digital Solutions proposition."

In 2017, the company stopped its part exchanges in favour of a physical auction strategy with Aston Barclay. This was the first development of its kind in its 97-year history.

Aston Barclay’s CEO Neil Hodson said: “It’s great to build on our strong relationship with Hatfields Group and to look at rolling out a series of joined up digital remarketing initiatives.

“This will give Hatfields one of the most advanced remarketing strategies of any dealer group in the country.”

The agreement keeps Aston Barclay’s 2017 plan to double sales over the next five years on track.

The aim of increasing its fleet business and digitising the customer buying experience is already deep within its intended transition. In 2017, Hodson told Fleet News that he has ‘big plans’ to deepen its industry relationships.
